The C2 Contour seeders perfectly through crop residues, ensuring perfect seeding quality.
Next-Generation Planter — The C2 Contour allows for unhindered passage through crop residue and easy opener adjustments. Ultra-precise seed and fertilizer placement is guaranteed thanks to the independent parallel-link opener, while the pressure-adjustable press wheels make it easy to move through wet areas. Available in 25.4 cm and 30.5 cm row spacings. The new design of the C2 planter shank guarantees improved residue passing capability. We made the rack angle 12 degrees so that the leftovers rise and pass through the rack faster. The distance between the ground surface and the crop residue pickup point on the C2 Contour has been increased to 53.54 cm, greatly reducing the potential for clogging and plugging.
Precision
Precise placement of seeds and fertilizer is essential for rapid and uniform germination
Set depth control
The cam on the C2 Contour planter is positioned higher off the ground for easy adjustment and setting depth control in 0.64 cm increments. This is done with a simple notched cam and link pin — turn the cam easily by hand and insert the link pin to lock into the position you want.
Parallel Coulter
A true parallelogram attachment always maintains a constant opener angle to the ground and maintains a fixed depth relative to the packer over its entire 43.2cm radius of travel. The opener can follow field contour 25.4cm up and 17.8cm down. The optimized distance between the coulter and the press wheel makes it easy to cut the furrow and then carefully cover it with soil, while maintaining accurate depth control.
Casted Opener System
Double row opener for split seeding
Double row coulter places seed in 2 separate rows 10 cm apart. Seeds are sown 5 cm from the center, then immediately between them 2 cm below is applied
fertilizer. The patented opener design reduces clogging, ensures seed and fertilizer separation is guaranteed, and helps maintain an even seed bed with minimal soil disturbance.
Side stitch coulter for split sowing
The “side stitch” coulter places the seed in a furrow 5 cm from the center, and a fertilizer belt is applied 2 cm below. The patented opener design reduces clogging, ensures fertilizer seed separation, and helps maintain an even seed bed with minimal soil disturbance.
Twin Spreader Opener
The coulter places seed and fertilizer simultaneously into a 7.6 cm wide furrow. The coulter cuts an even furrow, providing
quality seedbed and uniform seed placement with minimal impact on the soil. The best choice for farmers who apply a small to medium amount of fertilizer in one furrow along with the seeds.
Narrow coulter for dual seeding
The coulter places seed and fertilizer at the same time in one narrow, even 1.25 cm wide furrow. Of all the coulters offered for the Contour planter, it has the least impact on the soil. Ideal for sticky soils with high
clay content.
Tech
Designed for years of trouble-free operation
Hydraulic cylinders
Double-acting piston pumps raise and lower coulters from work to transport position and vice versa. The pressure on the coulter cylinders is set through a passive hydraulic system using a hydraulic accumulator. Wear washers and high quality hydraulic opener seals ensure long life.
Hydraulic accumulator
Performs the function of a hydraulic shock absorber of the working body. The external force of the working body can be adjusted from 45.3 kg to 272 kg, the penetration force of the coulter into the soil increases proportionally from 31.7 kg to 77 kg. Once installed, the pressure can be adjusted from the tractor cab using an easy-to-read monitor. The passive system requires low oil flow (with a savings of 30 l/min) and reduces the demands on tractor hydraulics compared to similar planters. The pressure of the working body is regulated on the go from the tractor cab via remote control.
Hydraulic valve
Conveniently located on the front frame of the planter for control of initial operating pressure. The valve is equipped with high oil flow rated components to reduce opener cycle times by fixing the pressure in the hydraulic circuit during the cycle to avoid recharging the entire system each time the opener is raised or lowered.
